Traditions!!! I love all them!

We have so many, so I’m not picking a favorite and you can’t make me!

My dad’s Birthday is on Christmas Day, so he takes his tree cutting and decorating very seriously. Lol! Now we take our kids out to chop down a tree every year too❤️

I remember lots of Christmas cookie baking with my mom….

Christmas Eve service with the whole school and when we were a little older getting to go to the candlelight service at night….

One year my mom decorated the whole tree in blue (with all blue lights)….it was magical….

We always had gifts from Santa no matter how old we were….

I am happy we have these little morsels of happy to look back on.

I’m looking into a couple of your suggestions as I have no idea what left-right-center is 😳

We tried out a new one that I kind of made up…. Christmas Carol Charades : I wrote out a bunch of Christmas songs and hymns and players had to act themOut for their team to guess …the catch: to guess correctly, you have to sing to the correct tune 🎶

I’m always amazed at how different families carry out traditions in their own special ways! St. Nick’s Night is probably the most fascinating too me.

I have a very strong German heritage in both sides of my family….as well as my husband’s. If I remember correctly, they used shoes… I grew up using stockings (except I’m pretty sure my dad hung up men’s tube socks with an orange, a popcorn ball, a candy cane, and peanuts more than once) 🤪😂

Our focus of Christmas is always celebrating the gift of Jesus Christ being born. Our children know that’s the most important gift of all.

However, I do believe in the wonder and magic and fun of the season. So I’ll continue the St. Nick tradition for as long as I’m able. (Just keep your elves on your own shelves! 🤪).

You know how I know I’ve found my people…..

ask them about favorite recipes and I get a whole lot of BACON, CHEESE, and easy peasy cocktail weenies 🙂  seriously, folks, I love that we are same-same.  LOL!

Shout out to the few “fancier” recommendations, I will most certainly be trying them out this winter for parties.

I have to admit, I’m using you a bit….as we are in the cocktail weenie/meatball, buffalo chicken dip, queso wheelhouse, and we need to expand our horizons.   I’ll let you know how that turns out. 😉
